Who is Loyalty NZ?

Loyalty New Zealand is New Zealand’s expert in loyalty, and runs the largest and most comprehensive coalition loyalty programme in New Zealand – Fly Buys.  In addition to this Loyalty New Zealand undertakes a range of marketing services for clients including customer insights, analytics, modelling and reporting under its brand LAB360. Helping hold all that together is our Technology team.

The role?

Loyalty is a cloud-first enterprise at the cutting edge of Loyalty. We’re looking for a Cloud Data Architect to design, create, deploy and manage our data architecture. There will need to be innovative designs drawing on deep technical experience and expertise in cloud solutions.

The Cloud Data Architect will play a critical role in building and implementing the data architecture strategy across Loyalty – participating in the design and engineering of solutions that have a significant strategic impact to achieve a long-term competitive advantage for Loyalty.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Understanding Loyalty’s strategies and how they relate to data requirements
  • Defining and implementing data standards, processes and models
  • Communicating the data architecture to the wider team, and supporting the technical delivery team during build

We’re looking for someone who is clearly passionate about data.

You’ll have 5+ years’ experience in architecture roles, and be very familiar with:

  • Big Data architecture design patterns
  • Data analysis, integration, modelling and warehousing
  • Database architecture and design

You’ll be technology neutral, with a strong desire to establish standards of best-practice. Cloud experience is a must, with AWS experience an advantage, as well as a proven history of building end-to-end solutions with a focus on data and integration.

The environment you’ll work in is fast paced, dynamic and very achievement focused.  Strong communication and time-management skills will be vital – you’ll boldly take us on our journey to the cloud.
