 Who is Loyalty NZ?

Loyalty New Zealand is New Zealand’s expert in loyalty, and runs the largest and most comprehensive coalition loyalty programme in New Zealand – Fly Buys.  In addition to this Loyalty New Zealand undertakes a range of marketing services for clients including customer insights, analytics, modelling and reporting under its brand LAB360. Helping hold all that together is our Technology team.

The role?

We are looking for a Data Architect – a role accountable for designing, creating, deploying and managing Loyalty’s data architecture. You will be responsible for defining the standards, processes and models that Loyalty use to manage data. The Data Architect will also need to communicate the architecture to stakeholders, and support our delivery team during build.

If you’re passionate about data and making improvements, this role will be of strong interest. You’ll need to ensure the accuracy and fit for purpose of our data architecture, and be able to deliver on our data vision and how this ties in with the overall Loyalty data strategy.

Our ideal candidate will have experience as a Data Architect, ideally in a Retail or Loyalty-based role. A background in Big Data, restful integration and a cloud computing background will be a must. You’ll have strong data modelling skills and will have worked with a range of database technologies. You will understand various Analytical and Database technologies including emerging technologies like columnar and Nosql databases, predictive analysis, data visualisation, machine learning and unstructured data, and have a strong skill set in transactional data design and modern analytical design methodologies.

We want someone who can ‘bush whack’ – and boldly can take us where no-one has gone before.

The environment you’ll work in is fast paced, dynamic and very achievement focused.  Strong communication and time-management skills will be vital.
