Who is Loyalty NZ?

Loyalty New Zealand is New Zealand’s expert in customer loyalty, and runs the largest and most comprehensive coalition loyalty programme in New Zealand – Fly Buys.  In addition to this Loyalty New Zealand undertakes a range of marketing services for clients including customer insights, analytics, modelling and reporting under its brand Lab360.

The Role

The Data Visualisation Engineer is responsible for transforming big data and related analytical outputs into visual representations that can form a “story at a glance”. This is achieved through leveraging one of the most comprehensive customer databases in New Zealand in conjunction with cutting edge cloud technologies (AWS, Hadoop, Tableau, etc). It’s the perfect combination for a creative yet data driven professional to tell stories through data that lead to insight and value for our broad participant network (including clients such as New World, BNZ, Z, etc).  This role is responsible for ensuring that all of Loyalty’s visualised data and data solutions are to a high standard, performance, and solve the problems of our Users in a simple and easy to understand way..

Loyalty New Zealand is undergoing an exciting transformation with many exciting projects that involve Data Engineering.  We are seeking expressions of interest from potential future candidates so that if a suitable vacancy becomes available, we can touch base with you.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about blending data and creativity to produce initiative visualisation solutions. Ideally you will have 2-4 years’ experience in data management, business intelligence or analytical role. You will be familiar with visualisation tools including Tableau and big data technologies (AWS, Hadoop, Hive, etc).  Naturally, the right candidate will have experience with SQL and Python is also preferred.

The Data Visualisation Engineer collaborates with various stakeholders in the business and needs to possess excellent communication and relationship management skills. A relevant tertiary quality is required.
