Who is Loyalty NZ?

Loyalty New Zealand is New Zealand’s expert in loyalty, and runs the largest and most comprehensive coalition loyalty programme in New Zealand – Fly Buys. 

In addition to this Loyalty New Zealand undertakes a range of marketing services for clients including customer insights, analytics, modelling and reporting under its brand LAB360.

The Role

Data is Loyalty’s business, making the Senior Data Warehouse Developer a critical role. They are responsible for the accessibility and accuracy of business knowledge, managing the Loyalty Data Warehouse environment – including BAU, projects and driving continuous improvement.

On a daily basis you’ll be maintaining base information tables, monitoring production loads, gather requirements, leading development projects, mentoring team members, and prioritising and managing requests from the business – the Senior Data Warehouse Developer needs to up for a challenge!

We are wanting someone who is passionate about data, and always looking to improve their skills and knowledge. You will have strong (5 years or more) experience administering, managing and maintaining an Oracle database environment.

You’ll ideally have a good, all-round knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, and the use of SQL* Plus and PL SQL, and experience with TOAD and Oracle DW Builder. We’d prefer you to have experience with cloud technologies too – particularly Hadoop, AWS and Hive.

An ability and interest in mentoring others will be a plus, as well as being able to gather and articulate requirements from a wide range of business stakeholders.

While this role will initially be heavily focussed on Oracle technologies, there will be significant opportunities to develop and upskill as we modernise our underlying technology stack.
